Do you put anything on your antlers to make them shine???
 

I have seen a bunch of wall mounts that look really shiney......are they polished with something or have a clear coat finish of some kind on them??

My dad said he put some clear coat of some of his antlers and it didn't do any damage.........some are 25+ years old.

Is there anything I should NOT use to shine them up a little?? I don't want to ruin any of my racks but some look kind of dull.

I don't, I leave them natural. My brother on the other hand puts a coat of clear varnish on them.

a taxidermist told me to put windex on the antlers and fur

Mineral oil makes em look great. And helps keep them from drying out.

I clean my mounts with a soft cloth and Pledge.Does a nice job.

;) I do not change them. Seems better from my prospective that they are on the wall as they came via the field thru the taxidermy shop. I tell taxi to let em be.
