Question About Shooting Out Of All Sides Of A Blind

On Christmas day I decided to go and see if I could get my self a present by bringing home the big one. With all my hunting luck this year he came in on the wrong side. He was 10 YARDS. So when I moved to get situated he didn't seem to mind just kept feeding. But when I went to raise my bow, my arrow hit the zip down window that hangs inside causing some noise. He looked up and spooked. How can I stop this from happening again? Please Respond, I'm not having a good year at all with 2 misses[:'(]

;) More complete concentration. This challenge demands us to not lose concentration. A minor lapse and you have your lost chance.

You might try some velcro to pin the window to the side of the blind. Too bad they didn't make the blinds about a foot wider for those of us with long draws.;)

Thanks bilbow, The blind really does need to be about a foot wider and I would have been getting him mounted[8D] Guess I relaxed to much when he was at 10 yards and had already hung him on the wall. Oh well Teenage Mistakes!

Don't beat yourself up too much about mistakes. One of the few things I've learned in my years is that I'm gonna make em. Like on opening morning this year when all I could do is watch three trophy bucks mill around just out of range for half an hour because I hadn't placed my blind in the right place. [:'(] Never saw them again but still got a decent buck a few weeks later.:D Ya just gotta perservere. Good luck

Duece, when I had the ameristep regular doghouse, it was tight 5'x5'x5'8".
I had to position my chair in one of the back corners. set your chair where you can draw your bow and not hit the blind with your elbow. anothers words when drawin your bow, it should be facin towards the front corner, that will give you room. you won't be able to shoot out of but two windows, so you'll have to place your blind to where the deer , turkey, whatever will pass by those two windows. or you can get a bigger blind, like the doghouse TSC which is 68"x68"x64" tall and set you a swivel chair in the center of the blind, and you can shoot out of all the windows.;)
