Tree stands

What is your favorite type of tree stand? Latter, Portable, climber, tripod, or ground blind?

I have only ever used ladder stands, so I dont know much about all the other ones. I hunt private land so I just leave my ladder stands out there all year round.

Loved my ladder stand before it was stolen this season. I did so much ground hunting this year that I'm thinking about getting a ground blind. Nothing like getting them so close that you can pick up their musky odor. Talk about getting an adrenaline rush...

Climber stand, it allows me the mobiliy I need to scout an area and hunt it or to move it to another location. I use a summit and I absolutely love it, I think it is called "the bullet" or something I would have to look.

I use hang-ons and a ladder stick. I have them in 4-5 different places in my woods.

I love my Summit Viper but I love my fixed stands too! I enjoy the mobility of the climber and the simplicity of the hang ons.

I have 3 loc on's that i built 2 ladderstands and 1 climber.

i like to be versitle , have to be in New York

I love my loc on stands when I know they won't have to be moved, but I use my climber more. I actually use the climber as a scouting tool in a way, then set up a portable stand if I think I may hunt the same spot several times.

My favorite stands are my chain on. they've been in the same place for several years. not because their more confortable that's for sure. my cobra with that air cushion seat is the best. but because I can ease in to one of my chain on's and never make any noise. I use my climber if I find a fresh scrape, in the pre rut, or fresh rubs in early season, or if I just find an extra good funnel that I know deer are movin through.

Oh i couldnt say cause i have penthouse tower stands , shooting boxes, lean tos, and climbers.
i build my own (except climbers ) all from metal and wood.

it really depends when and with what i am hunting . i like my towers and shooting boxes for gun and muzzle loader. but bow or (yep ) crossbow i like my climber or stick ladder with my loc ons.
be open and use alot of different stands.:D

Climber. Can go higher, quicker, quieter and haul it further without sweating in the process.

Overall I'd prefer to hunt from my Double Bull T2 ground blind, if I could only choose one.

But I do like hunting from my Gorilla Ladder stand, it's just not very mobile and can be a little to heavy for some folks if they need to set it up by themselves.

For stands we hang early and leave up I prefer Baby
Grands with aluminum ladder sticks we ratchet to the
tree. Easy and safe to climb, and the BG treestands
have large platforms with comfortable seats.

Most of our hunting we use hang-ons with lightweight
climbing sticks.

I have a ladder stand and a tripod. How do the climber's work? There aren't many straight trees around here. Lots of branches.
