Problem!!
 

Well I ordered some Gold Tip arrows, but I ordered the wrong ones, I just ordered the shafts, and I wanted the fletched arrows, but now I am going to put the vanes and stuff on myself, but what is the best adhesive to use for the carbon/graphite arrows, and I need to know the best nocks, should I just order the gold tip nocks?

You could just take them into the local proshop and get them fletched. Its quick and not really that expensive.

That's the best advice I would give, take them to a pro-shop. The cost is really minor. I really have to ask, why are you fletching and nocking incorrect arrows?

I think he means he ordered them unfletched and not fletched. Not that he ordered the wrong sharft size.

Just take them to the shop and let them do it. Like said, the cost is minimal.

As I understand things, you got the correct size shafts, but wanted completed arrows instead?

You'll have to get them fletched, cut to length and have the inserts installed. If you're not experienced at doing that kind of thing, and don't have the proper equipment, then it's best to have the shop do it. But, to answer your question, a gelled cyanoacrylate glue is best for vanes. I've used plain super glue gel and done very well with it. For installing inserts, I've had my best luck with 24-hour epoxy.

I HATE those Gold Tip nocks. I'd recommend getting some Easton Uni-bushings installed in them and using Easton nocks. The uni-bushings are a lot more consistent and they help strengthen the nock end of the shaft. Most of the carbons I've scrapped out have had cracks at the nock end of the shaft.

Absolutely agree with Art, Gold Tip Lock Nocks = [:'(]
Get the shop to instal Eaton Uni-bushings and G-Nocks. Much nicer and will save you cracked arrows on rear end hits.

If you want to get into fletching your own, you can find inexpensive fletchers all over the net , Ebay, Archertalk etc. Maybe a 6 arrow "Jo-Jan" multi fletcher? Handy handy item to have......get yourself some 'Goat-Tuff' glue and have at it.
Of course then you have to decide what style clamps to get??? ;):D

Its fun though and will save you a lot of time and expense over he long haul.....you dink up an arrow just throw it in your fletcher and good as new with no trip to the shop.

I agree with ARthur and Matt. It is well worth the time and money to build your own arrows. You can experiment with varying degrees of offset/helical. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing an arrow you built dissapear into a deers chest. I use superglue for fletching and 24 hour epoxy for inserts. Unlike Matt and Arthur, I use the GT locknocks, but after reading their post I may try out some Easton unibushings and G nocks. Thanks fellas.:)

Well I have thought about it, and I am going to do them myself, thanks Matt and everyone for the new suggestion about the nocks. And I was already looking at the Goat Tuff glue, but how much should I get for 12 arrows?? I already have a Arizona EZ fletch, and I have a clamp style fletcher. I have the vanes and everything already, but just one more question what do the helical vanes do?? I have never used them!
