RE: shooting distance??

I also love long range practice. I shoot from 10 to 100 yards. I've been bowhunting for 20 years and personally I get bored shooting 20 to 30 yard shots day after day. Use a bigger bull so you can see it and you will be amazed at how easy practicing at 100 makes 50 seem easy much less 20. When I get real bored I'll stick a 3-d deer out at 75 yards and plink away. I have killed deer from 0-53 yards and the long ones (anything over 40) I'll only take at a relaxed deer that I have put a range finder on and have a wide open shot at. I'd love to shoot every deer at 10 yards but any one that bowhunt's knows that doesn't happen enough. For example you take a trip to Iowa. It's the last 30 minutes of your 2,000 dollar hunt and you haven't had a shot all week. This 150 class buck walks out and starts feeding 40 yards away you have a range finder you know the distance and he ain't coming any closer. He's going home with me!! Would he go home with you???
