2 bucks under stand tonight

Had a6pt coming into my stand tonight about 4.20 pm it stopped about 15-18
yrds away I got my bow into position but did not draw yet, just when I was going to draw I noticed a much bigger deer about 50 yrds behind the 6pt.
I didnt dare let the bow drop down because the 6pt new something was up.
The other deer kept coming, it was a really nice 8pt and he stopped at 30 yrds.
While I was watching the 8 the 6 started circling around my tree real nervous like, whenthe 6 got behind my tree I drew on the 8 settled the pin in, not guite
ready yet 30yrds is my max range. the six must have seen me draw he blew
and took off, I pulled the trigger at the same time, the 8 took off, the sound of the 6 blowing made me pull the trigger as a reaction. I got down by this time it was real dark I couldnt find my arrow or any blood, there is alot of blown down trees in the area Im hunting and 4" of snow. I will be going out tomarow
to look better. I have been putting ten pounds of corn out for 3 days before I
hunted this stand. My guestion is will these bucks come back within a day or
two IF it was a clean miss [hopefully].

It really depends on how bad you scared them. They might not know what was up and maybe the 6 pointer had you figured out. Not sure about the 8 pointer. I would change stands for a at least a week.

good luck!

You might try something simple like moving a couple of trees away. It sounds like the 6pt might have you figured out in that tree. I would try moving 15-20yds and see what happens.

:( Reminds me of my only release this year. Sitting in my ladder stand at very dim light. Over the ridge top comes a nice 10 ptr. at 20 yards. I raise, lock on and a nano second before my release a second 10 ptr. snorts as he too had crested the ridge not quite 15 yards behind his buddy. First trophy launches about 2 yards vertical and approximately 3 yards forward. Not carrying any heat seeking weapons my shot was a very clear miss.:( I have recovered but from my experience I would hazzard to guess that you might not see those boys too soon. I do hope I'm wrong and wish you luck.
