RE: How NOT to shoot a big buck!

I too am familiar with the phenomena. Four years ago, a.m. hunt, rut, I had lowered my bow to the ground and stepped off the tree stand onto a step. I had a new safety harness and had managed to get it twisted, forcing me to go back onto the platform. As I readied to go down again, I hear the footsteps and here's this v nice, 3.5+yrs shooter coming in only 30 yds away. He momentarily stops in the only shooting lane I have on my backside, just 12 yds away and stares at my decoys, Fred and Ethyl. He is oh so close, and I imagine him tangling up in my bow strap and running off with my bow... but he has seen enough and leaves, never to be seen again... I feel your pain, lol... Part of the adventure for sure!

;) Cougar Mag: I feel your pain!! But like I once mentioned I married a Murphy. Believe me it's a case of Otooles corollary, which states: "Murphy was an optomist"!
