Fantasy Come True

Now before anyone gets the wrong idea, let me explain! ;)

Today I get to hunt in fresh snow!!! I have always dreamed of it and last night the white stuff just came pouring down! I cannot wait!!!

Unfortunately, I am going with a rifle because I need the meat in the freezer. This is the first time I've picked up a rifle in two years (except to make sure I was still zeroed this week...1.5" groups 1" high @100yds...had to knock off some rust, but it came right back after the first three rounds!)

Good luck and I hope everyone else gets to hunt today!

A couple years ago I encountered the same situation. When I heard there was snow coming in overnight, I headed to the country for a weekend of hunting. As I made my way through the woods that morning I noticed a ton of tracks that made there way around some treetops that were left from the previous years logging. I setup over that area and shot a 140lb doe from 7 yards. I'll have to say, it was one of the most fulfilling hunts I've had. Congrats on your kill.
