3-D arrows for hunting

The goldtip 3-D Pro's are not that much more considering the price of other hunting arrows. How would they hold up in hunting conditions? Are 3-D arrows made different or do they just have lower stragithness and weight tolerance numbers?

They are only straighter and have better tolerences, IMO that makes them THE arrows to hunt with. The most important shot you could ever make is on that buck of a lifetime, seems like it would be worth a couple of extra $$$

IL-Cornfed is right. Usually 3D Carbons are striaghter around +/- .001 when most good carbons are +/- .003 and cheap carbons are +/- .006. I use them (Carbon Express 3D Select 300's) and have never broken one, and every deer I've shot with them is still in my quiver. They're still tough! One not: 3D arrows are usually fairly lite, if you like a heavy arrow you might not be able to find one.

Good Luck!

If you do want a quality 3D arrow for hunting that is cheaper than carbons and straighter than all carbons, try XX78 Superslams...............thats if you are willing to hunt with aluminums.:)

I agree as well. As long as you don't slap 1.5 inch vanes and bullet points on the arrows then I see no problem in using them. :)

YUP... going to a broadhead might throw you out of whack if you're using those little bullet points. Make sure they have enough spine and the weight you want.

I use the XX78's for both my hunting and 3D shooting. I don't change anything in my setup, but of course I shoot 3D to make me a better hunter and not for any $$$.
