I am going to get a Hoyt, but dont know which to get

I will be using the bow for hunting only. Right now i have a browning, but i want a new one and the Hoyts seem to look good to me. I am thinking about maybe the X-tec or Razortec. This will be only my second bow, but i go hunting a lot.

As the above post mentioned, shoot several....... then BUY the XTec!!!:D All kidding aside, it is an excellent bow and I'm really enjoying mine.

I have heard excellent reports on the XTech. I have a buddy that has one. I have an 03 UltraTech that is one of the most accurate bows I have ever shot.

Everybody has their own opinions so you do need to shoot all the bows you are interested in (and some your not) to see what feels right to you.

Currenty I have a 2002 Protec, and if it wasn't the best bow I've ever owned, I would buy the 2004 Ultra Elite. But, I THINK I may hold out until next year.:( Who knows, a lot can happen between now and next fall:D

I've got a Hoyt MT Sport, a 2003 new Razortec, and a 2004 Hoyt Aerotec recurve. I love all of them! I go along with the rest of the group. You should shoot several different bows and get the one that YOU like, fits you well, shoots well for you. I believe most higher end bows are of good quality with each having it's advantages and disadvantages.

I love Hoyt fans like myself. All I can say is you're on the right track with Hoyt!!!
I have an '03 ultratec I couldn't live without!!

Go to www.hoytusa.com to see all the bows. They also have a dealer search on their website so you can find the closest authorized dealer to where you live.

Which bow is best depends on you, your size, experience , shooting goals, style , etc. A good dealer can help you with all of this so you get the bow that is right for you. Just tell them you are sold on Hoyt and would like some help picking and setting up the right one. I'd also recommend a fall-away type rest. Got one for first time this year, when I bought my ultratec, and I love it. It's been so easy to tune.

My advice would be , once you get to the pro-shop, don't let someone talk you into some other kind of bow - They don't get better than Hoyt!!

Good Luck!!

I bought the Razortec last spring and nearly doubled my effective range this year. It's a great bow--fast, quiet, and accurate. Can't go wrong with it.

I recently posted a review of the Vipertec over on the TEC forum....

http://forum.hunting.net/asppg/tm.asp?m=455204

...and I do believe that you should still be able to find a review of the Razortec from last year over on the Bowhunting Gear Review forum.

..an Xtec review is in the works as well.

All are great bows and I do not think you could that far "wrong" with any of them.
