Hoyt Protec??

Was wondering who shoots a protec here on this board...I want a new bow for next season and was wondering how easily and forgiving this bow was?? Also, is this bow very accurate/ consistent? Thanks a bunch!!
Also, do you really have to shoot this bow with fingers?? I'd rather shoot a release.

RE: Hoyt Protec??

I've got an '02 model with LX Pro limbs and Accuwheels. Nowadays I'm shooting it fingers and barebow but I did the sights/release thing for awhile when I first got it. No sweat, either way, although the wall on the Accuwheels is softer than I like for release shootin'. The Cam 1/2 is much better for release shooters.

The deflex riser and small grip (a little too small for my big hands, actually) make it nearly impossible to torque. It's very accurate and very consistant. I was regularly getting 4" groups at 60 yards shooting it with pins/release.
