December elk bow hunting tips?
 

we have been stumbling around bow hunting for elk the past couple of winters in NIdaho. We have tried stands and still hunting-any suggestions as to the preferable method? We seem to have had the best luck still hunting but end up with a difficult (ineffective) stalk.

Spend some time patterning the herd, and then get in front of them. Make sure you have the wind. It works best to be behind cover so they walk by giving you a quartering away shot. This time of year they are easy to pattern so take your time and get the right setup.
