I switched from alum to carbon this year and I prefer the carbon by far, faster,
more durable. I also switched from vanes to feathers, another good change
in my opinion.

Carbon is much more durable and faster. They are faster because they are lighter in relation to the spine in what we can use. But, they need to find a way to keep making carbons heavier for bowhunting and they are it seems every year. Until they do, I will not be totally satisfied with carbons. I am going back to heavier aluminums or the Easton A/C Kinetics(too expensive at this time for me).

What I want is the durability of carbons, but with the weight of aluminums!

Carbons- I like the heavier spined sizes. Sometimes you might have to cut them longer, but generally the charts are off showing a weaker spine than you really need. I use 125 grain heads for added forward of center which seems to help accuracy with fixed blade heads. I shoot a Mathews LX at 29.5" & 67 pounds and shoot 28.5" 75/95 camo Goldtips or 3-71 ACCs.

Get beman matrixs and get the best of both worlds , or acc's if you can afford them , You will save around 100 grains over the 2314's or 2315's you would shoot . Lots of guys are useing the beman ics shafts allso with great results . These shafts have smaller diamaters than the alluminum and penitrate better , but with your spec's you should not have a problem with that even with alluminum , If you are on a budget I'd stay with alluminum as cheep carbons are just that cheap and inconsistant .

I just ordered some Gold Tip XT arrows, the guy said if I wanted more KE, then I could add weights that go between the tip and insert!
