MY GUESS.... he was a troll just seeing what he could stir up. Note the low number of posts. I doubt we' ll ever see him again.... unless it' s some of the old members using a bogus name to play.[:-]

Sorry I haven' t had a chance to post. Looked all day Monday and this morning with no luck. Good blood trail for 200 yards then nothing. Last spot had signs that he was clotting up. We took my buddies dog out to the woods Monday afternoon and thought we found him, but he found a different buck that was laying down. He was in bad shape from either disease or an old wound he had on his left side. He couldn' t even stand up. Suprised the coyotes hadn' t got to him. Had the deputy come out to check him out. We put him down and my buddy wacked off his head to do a skull mount. He was a nice buck, non-typical 16 pointer. Still had some velvet on his rack indicating he had been hurt or sick for a while.
Yes....I am pretty sick about not finding the monster. We believe he would score 165-170. I am not done looking though. I will be out looking again later in the week. I can post pics of the 16 pointer. Everyone cool with a picture of just the head and horns? If so I can post some tomorrow. I will keep ya' ll posted.

hmmm lets see.
i' m looking in the woods for a deer " a monster" at that
we follow a blood trail and at the end of the day stumble upon a 16 point NT that is wounded
my thoughts would be -- THATS HIM OVER THERE, LOOK AT THAT RACK, I TOLD YOU HE WAS A MONSTER
but i guess that would be just to keep my buddy from getting the rack of a deer that nice[][>:]
