where to hunt

Default where to hunt

Early bow season I was seeing alot of nice buck,are bow season here ended nov.15.Rifle season opens Dec. 1st, I have alot of scrapes around my stand do you think this spot should still be a good place to hunt or should i move closer to a food sourse?

I would have to say that you should stay where you are at. If you are seing the deer there then they must be using it as a travel area. And come first day of rifle the last thing those deer are going to be thinking about is where to eat lunch. With all of the people in the woods they are going to be pushing deer everywhere and chances are they are going to travel there same paths rather than trying to find food.

Forgot to mention i hunt 1 mile from city limits,in a30 acre woods ,no rifle area ,closes gun shot 5 miles away.So there patterns shoud not be changed right.

I think things should be okay if there is no gun hunting in the area.

Just one more reason to stay put. With no pressure their movements should be unchanged. If your seeing deer then there is no reason to move.
