Default Exploding broadheads???

NJ's regulations does not allow the use of exploding tips.. What exactly are "exploding tips"? I've seen Ranbo use them but thats about it..

JJ,

A few months back somebody posted about an arrow that came equipped with an enclosed "cylinder" in the front part of the arrow shaft. It supposedly held compressed air. Upon impact with the animal it was supposed to release that compressed air.

One of the members actually went through a technical description of why the whole apparatus wouldn't work.

Maybe somebody remembers what it was called and can post on it.

Years back their was also a head that when it hit, would send a shotgun blast of pellets into the animal.

California doesn't allow for them either, which is just as well. They also don't allow for the use of chemicals or poisons to be injected into the animal. I suppose that the air injector would qualify under that rule.

I thought that if the hunter filled that air injector up with a marinade or BBQ sauce, that he could eliminate a step or two in the field to table process. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
