Deer Scents

I personally have not had any commercial brand work. Does anyone have any scent that works for them? I have used tinks, buck stop, and wildlife research doe in estrus scents without any luck. I have smelled them and they smell like ammonia to me! Have anyone used the scent drippers also. My wife tells me that I am just pissing money away, ha ha! thanks for any comments.

I have had a little success with Golden Estrous by Wildlife Research BUT............I really like the scents made by Rush Creek Deer lure company in Ohio. Its all natural, filtered and bottled right on the farm. Their operation currently contains 70 head of deer and they are in the process of adding more. You will not find their scents in Wally World!!!! They cater to the sportsmen direct or through pro shops! The owner/operator is also a member here.

I have tried several brands over the years and have had wonderful success this year with Ruch Creek Deer Lure. The drag line I put out was followed in by 3 different bucks this year. They came in like a beagle tracking a rabbit on the scent trail.

The only scent I use is special golden estrus from wildlife research center. I mainly use it at the beginning and the end of the rut and never go crazy with it. All I do is tie a padded or fluffy rag to a string, spray it three or four times then walk to my stand dragging it behind. Once at my stand I circle it @ 20 yards then drop it about ten yards infront of my stand. I think by using to much in my own experiences seems to spook bucks rather then draw them in. Without saying it works better at twilight times and other then that I like to be as neutral as possible.
