RE: Question About Wind

You want to be where the wind is blowing AWAY from where the deer are.
I had a buck come in and the wind was right but the buck was too far away. As he got closer he also began to get downwind of me. Just when I thought I was going to get a shot he smelled that something wasn' t right. He turned around and went back the way he came.
I have trouble hunting on my hill. No matter what the predicted wind direction is it is never right for where I hunt. Yesterday was the only day that the direction was right this season.... too bad a neighbor decided he was turkey hunting or something. No deer came in where they usually do.
