First Buck Tonight
 

Hey guys and gals i saw my first buck tonight finally a decent size 8 pointer i have been hunting for 3 years and still havent been able to get a deer yet. This is my question though the buck that i saw tonight crossed a creek about 80 yards down from me should i hunt on the other side of the creek where he crossed or will this buck probably not come back through there again?? please help

I' d inspect the crossing area to determine if there is more traffic. If there is sign of other deer I' d relocate the stand within 20 or so yards depending on the wind.

after inpecting the area as jermery mentioned, I' d put a stand up, approx. 20 yards from the trail.....but sit in the stand that you saw the buck from.....see if you see him again in the same spot...if so, hunt that stand the next time....just a thought
