Come on oldtimr. Are you trying to tell us that you don't need an RPG to take a whitetail? Or a completely sealed off NASA space suit to control scent? Or to hunt from a hot air balloon 250 feet up? Now you of all people should know that their hides make kevlar look like tissue. Their noses can pick up a molecule 10 miles off. They can see a flea anus let a fart at 50000 yards.

Sorry, this shutdown is making me a bit loopy. I picked a bad year to stop drinking.

:lolabove:, It was a good year to start drinking.

I usually use hang on stands anymore. I get too exhausted using a climber that by the time I get 12' + off the ground I'm so tired I take a nap! I'd like to invent a treestand that you clamp to the tree that has rotating grippers and an electric motor. You attach it to the tree, get on it, put your safety belt on the tree (remember safety first!), push a button and it climbs the tree like an elevator! When you get to your desired height you lock it into place. Wouldn't that be cool for us old guys?

Over the yrs there has been a few stands like this, the problem with them ends up being weight and well battery power issue's

now if you used the same tree all the time and have private lands there are these types too

That's a pretty cool tree stand idea for those who can't climb, but no safety harness ...:(
