Alum-I-Lok treestand and ratchet strap?

I just wanted to know if anyone is using a ratchet type strap with the API
alum-i-lok stand? The strap that comes with the stand is kind of cumbersome.

If you are using this type of strap how do you hook it on the stand?

Thanks for any replies.:)

RacHunter- Yes I have several API treestands that I removed the factory strap and now use ratchet straps. I though use 2 ratchet straps on each stand just to be safe. When you use 2 ratchet straps you can really lock the stand down good to the tree. Makes for a very stable platform!

I noticed that you are from Flatwoods. I went to college at Glenville State college about 30 minutes from Flatwoods. I used to hunt with a friend whos dad owns the John Deer dealership right in the middle of Flatwoods. I think he has several mounts inside the dealership!

Thanks for the reply Hankfan,

Yes they do have some nice mounts in the dealership. They are all good folk...

Have a great day!
