Does anybody here have experience hunting at the State Park. I have private land to hunt but a friend of mine only has fifteen acres of my moms to hunt and the deer can be scarce there. I would like to take him to get his first bow kill but the land owners I hunt on are pretty strict. So I thought he might have a better chance here. What do you think, And any areas if anybody is familiar. Thanks in advance

I' ve been there a few times in the past 3 years. There is gettin to be more and more people that hunt there. Some of the old guys think they own the place and can get pretty PO' d if you walk by in the morning on the way to your set up. There are alot of small food plots dispersed in the whole park. I have always seen deer around them. I would say if you' re going to go there find a plot that is way off the main plots and away from the parking areas. I know it does calm down alot after shotgun season. There usually isnt near as many people when it starts to get cold. JMO though. Hope it helps.
