Trophy Ridge Nitro Extreme

What do you all think about it? I' m thinkin about gettin one and using it next hunting season. I would go with the metal pins becuase I don' t want to take the chance of the plastic pins breaking. Are vertical pins better or is it just personal preference? Would it be very hard to switch over?

I' ve never heard anyone complain about noise from them. I have heard alot of people say they have a hard time keeping the wing nuts tight though.

I love mine, for target and 3D this is the best sight I ever used, no noise but had to replace wing nuts with regular allan key screws (came with the sight), no noise whatsoever. The glow stick system doesn' t work for me. For low light hunting with those tiny pins, I would prefer horizontal pins

I like the sight. I would mention thought, that there are a lot of pieces that you need to ensure are tight. I had mine sighted in, then I found some nuts/bolts that loosened. That is my only gripe, but I basically like the simple adjustments.

I have a TR Matrix...the one with the plastic pins and .029 fibre optics. Love that sight....but I switched to a 3 prong Bodoodle arrow rest...which means 1 vane was facing up....the arrows had to be accurately aligned so they won' t contact the rest and won' t hit the fibre optic wires. Unfortunately one vane did broke a wire....TR had no problem sending me a new wire....kudos to them...even though it was my mistake.

I just installed a Spot Hogg Hog It sight on my bow....the Matrix will be for another bow (maybe get a new bow in 2 years)...with a shoot thru or drop away rest.

The Matrix had brighter pins due to a much longer wire that wraps around the sight.

Oh, forgot to mention....I only had that sight for 1 month...I only shoot on the weekends....about 60 shots per session, which means the sight (and new bow) went thru 480+ shots....I didn' t notice any moving parts on the sight. Although as stated by the people above....lots of people had to continuously re-tighten those bolts. On another site...someone suggested using lock-tite powder.
