Default My biggest one to date

Harvested my biggest buck to date last night about 5:00. He was with a doe, and nothing on his mind but love. Didn't give me much time to think about it, from the time I first saw him to the shot, was only about 20 seconds. The shot was about 15 yards, and I was only 13' up in my ladder stand. He never even knew I was there.

Dandy. Congratulations. My buddy pushed one into me last evening. A nice 8 point. Actually the buck must have snuck in and bedded in the thicket after I got there or I snuck in on him. Anyway when my friend got close enough to him he jumped him. I heard the footsteps and turned and he was only 15 yards away at full speed. He ran past me at about 9-10 feet. When my buddy came to me I said jokingly..."you SOB you almost got me run over"! The musky odor from the buck was still hanging in the air.

Nice, I'd say that deer has got some years on him.

Thanks! A lot of guys are saying the same thing about him being old. So I asked the taxidermist, to check his teeth. He thought just by looking at him that he was about 3.5.
