Baiting is only legal in WVA on private property , don't bother me one way or the other , but baiting is no different than deer gathering in a good plot ( which was stated) or on an acorn flat browse or what ever if they get the disease it will spread regardless , everyone has this vision if you bait it's easier to hunt not true , well maybe does or some small bucks mature does and bucks of any caliber are wise baiting dont put horns on the wall I have a thousand acre lease in Fayette county where I'm from and we hang feeders in areas for just youth hunters and the rest of us can not and will not hunt them feeding the right stuff is different than throwing corn on the ground I was raised to hunt by scouting and hunting the sign and showed my kids the same just because ya feed doesn't meen your not teaching or cheating why they don't legalize baiting bears is beyond me turn a pack a dogs loose till he runs up a tree but can't bait makes no sense to me but I do t bear hunt either so I don't sweat it and those that cry about baiting deer shouldn't sweat that either hunt your way and be happy
