Im 29 and have been hunting since I was 6, back then I went with my dad but still got to carry my own gun but never got a deer or turkey until I was 12. now my wife hunts and loves it, I also take my nephew every season, this will be his fourth and hes learning so much. I try to get anyone I know into the woods, especially the youngsters.

I' m 45 and started when I was 10. Have been bowhunting for 18 years.
As an Hunter Education Instructor, I see more and more kids and women taking the class. There is usually a 70-30 split between males and females in the classes I teach. The current class (have to finish teaching tonight and give the test) has 7 females and 9 males in it. So it' s getting better in my opinion.

I' m 36, hunting since 14, started out going with my dad, then he hunted less, and i hunted more, got a bow for my 17th birthday, love to be in the woods every day.
My son turned 14 this year, and is the second season I have taken him out, he has yet to see a deer while hunting though. My wife goes out with me once in a great while, but her weapon of choice is a camera

Actually its probably not as bleak as it looks.
In your teens, you' re chasing women.
In your 20' s, you' re still in school and then you might get married.
In your 30' s, you' re raising kids...baseball, soccer, dance lessons, $ $ $ $ $ $
In you 40' s, you' re looking for a tree high enough to make you forget about your teenagers.
