Scent....
 

I used some dirt smelling cover scent, and some of the human neutralizing spray, and had deer 4 ft away from me this evening. I was tucked in between too round bales of hay, and the deer walked the fence line behind me this evening, probaly 5 feet from where I was sitting. When they finally crossed the fence they didn' t go out into the field, they just stayed close to the bales and started back. A couple does got startled when they peeked around the hay bale.

However, the 4pt buck got so close that i I could see his breath infront of my feet. He started to come around and I would have been able to kick him, but he turned and walked straight away from me...just too dark to make a shot.

But the cover scent works...[:-]

I' m assuming you mean one of the scent eliminator with the Fall Essence or dirt smell to them as well....yes, they do work and I prefer Scent Killer myself.....

Thanks Rob, and yeah...I used the Fall Escense spray on my boots, and the scent eliminator on my coat, pants, and mask.

It really was a great story, and the cloests I have ever been to a live whitetail deer. I believe I could have kicked around the edge of the hay bail and nailed that buck between the eyes.
