a great day in the field, all the hard work has paid off! i saw this 4pter the other day and could of wacked him but i let hin go on my 6 point rule and let my best friend a dec officer take him! went out at 3 pm today, told him to go in the stand by the apple trees that i seen hin at a few days ago, knowing he would probably show up and i went and sat under a pine tree blind by a field, i was there 5 minutes when a buck goes flying bye me and down a hill and then he calls me and says he shot the 4 pter, so i said he just ran by me and i was 300 yards away but he said he hit him good and heard him crashing through trees, told him to stay put and i walked back to him, i found the arrow, 4 blade muzzy 100 gr totally red and stuck in the ground, knew it was dead and thought how can it have run so far?????? so i siad lets follow the blood trail for practice, wow, everywhere on trees puddles and it was running fast, so i thought great! again how did it make it 300 yards plus?? well it didnt it was 45 yards away dead as a doornail, must of had company, another buck that i saw! real big body ny 4pter and a great first bow kill! almost like i shot it myself i was real happy! see pic! deer had tons of fat on it we hung it and took the skin right off asap! he hit it high about 5 inches below the back bone and came out low other side, hit both lungs and the liver the long way! bravo!

Way to go!

Nothing wrong with conservation officers, I really look up to them. There' s way to many illegal acts that go on in our area. That' s the line of work I' d like to get into after high school, I feel I owe it to the state of PA.

By the way, wardens can' t catch everyone, they need responsible hunters paying attention for anything shady going on in the woods.
