Just my luck!!!
 

Went hunting last night knowing I couldn' t stay until dark, " had to take my daughter to choir practice" so I decided to go to an area I had been to back in Sept but it was so thick I decided to let the undergrowth die out a little before I returned. I set up on a powerline that had numerous trails coming out the woods on both sides so I positioned myself to cover as many of them as possible. Well as luck would have it I left about 5:30 went to my truck as I was leaving I drove by the powerline look up and standing 10 yds yds from where I was is a nice 8 pointer looking down the hill at me as I drove by. I swear he was smiling at me.;)

Sounds to me as though it wasn' t that bucks day. It also sounds to me that you' ve got a pretty good stand. I' ll bet that the two of you will hook up again later this season, with a little luck maybe it will be on the end of your arrow.
