Unless you are shooting an extremely long arrow/draw length (31" plus) your arrows are definitely overspined for that poundage.

If all the good tips won' t help, try the tip on centre shot adjustment:
http://www.saskarchery.com
click on Tech Tips on the left side - it worked for me great, I' m getting tight groups from 20 to 60yds.

Your way over spined brother...that will cause your arrow to kick out quite a bit on release and will fishtail to your target. The proshop guy should of set you up with some 2117' s or 2215' s. Those would be the propper arrow for you unless you are shooting an arrow in the 31 inch range.

Nub is on to it. Can you or a friend see them fishtailing? You can not go by how straight they look in the target unless perhaps you are shooting at a heavy target bale that won' t budge on impact.

I think that model bow has a 28-30" adjustable draw. Definately sounds like the arrow is part of the problem.

I wouldn' t worry about the angle at which the arrows stick out. It could be the target material causing that, or varying torque on your grip, at release. What' s important is your group size at different distances and if you' re hitting your spot. Your bow may need tuning or your form (grip) may need to be more consistant.

As for the stabilizer, most hunters are looking for something that makes the bow quiet and low in vibration. Find a bow shop that will let you try a few and then simply pick the one that makes the bow feel best. Balance is also important and it is best if the stabilizer helps the bow to have very little movement after the shot.

Welcome to the ranks!

Your first bow, so you are new to bow shooting as well? It is all about form and tuning. I' d get the bow tuned as best as they can at the shop and practice shooting for a while. It is hard, but try not to worry about tight groups and perfect shot placement just yet. Just shoot. Get the muscles into the groove and develop good habits. Then fine tune things after you have a system for shooting down. Hand shock is always going to be a problem with today' s shorter and faster bows and their lighter arrows. (although yours are certainly not light) A stabilizer is a must. Just like matched arrows. There are a lot of good videos and books on the art of shooting. Is there an archery club near by?

Remember that just because you bought your bow at a shop doesn' t mean they know what they are doing in setting you and the bow up. ( I' ve had some shopkeepers do more harm than good.) Find a local expert. They are hard to find, harder to get time with but they are out there. We have these two guys near my home who tuned me and my bow in under five minutes after an assessment of my shooting style and ability.
