a need to vent about a deer cam

my parents bought me a deer cam for my birthday, you know mothers its not what everyone is using but how much it cost 278.00. it was a non typical deer cam.
well the first roll of film went great, put new film in set it up, went back ina week 3 exposures and a dead battery, i thought it might be my fault new film and battery. battery cost 8.00. same deal. called the company sent it back... they received it at 9:42 sept 30. because i have crs i forgot my return number. kind of makes you cringe doesn' t??????? well now they can' t track it because no one knows the return number. it might be there they don' t know anything about it unless it is worked on... man do i feel frustrated.
i guess i' ll go buy another camera, and you can bet money it won' t be a non typical.

thanks for letting me vent

How in the heck can they not track it. They can' t look for a box with your return address on it or something.

Sure you should' ve remembered the number but, its not like they can just say sorry we dont have it.

i have called them 3 times and get the same story, and that is they are soooo far behind that they are just now getting to the cameras that they received around that date. just sit tight and it will be repaired and sent back if they have it.
and to think my wife wanted to insure it, NOT......

i just need a good recomendation on a dependable camera........
thanks

I paid about $68 for a Stealth Cam at Wal-Mart and have no complaints. Left the batteries in for 24 days and still did not see a low battery light. I don' t blame the camera for not taking more pict' s, that' s on me, I' m the one who emplaced the camera.

Just buy you a cam-trakker and you will have one of the best on the market.

I would buy a cam-tracker, but I don' t have $400 to spend on such a thing, then to have it stolen.

Don how did you ship it? We ship UPS & if you run a tracking # you should get the person who recieved it signiture. Fed Ex surely has the same. At least you could prove to the mfg that they did receive it. Just a thought.

I' d go with the Sleath for 68 bucks... If it breaks or gets stolen, your only out 68 bucks, not 400... and it does the same damn thing.. tells you what kind of bucks are in your area.. And the Pictures turn out just as good as any camera... from what i can tell....

I have some GREAT photos from mine..
