Bow wrapped around neck...possibly

Ok ok. My turn to rant. Been hunting on a landowner since 1977 with my father-in-law. No problems and we talk to the landowner every year. Another guy has also hunted the various properties several years, but not as long. Strange that the guy never hunts where we do unless a big buck or two is around! NOT! Actually the guy hunts more of the various property sites than us, being we are satisfied to stay in the general area......a base so to speak.

This is the 2nd time in the last 4 years he is causing trouble. While my brother-in-law was hunting adjoining property of another owner, I was hunting not far away. Being my inlaw was at his truck waiting on me to return...this other guy comes down the lane and proceeds to tell my brother-in-law he has talked to the landowner most recently and has permission to run me off! Soooo. it will come to a head in the morning. I am going to the landowner again and find out what, if anything is going on. May not need my bow to shoot deer with before long.....might see if it fits around the guy' s neck!!!!!!

That' s too bad Cougar, I hope it all works out. In all honesty I think that' s why alot of landowners have gone and are going, to leasing. Not only do they make a little extra money, they have less headaches because of morons like the guy you mentioned. Not saying hunting for free isn' t better ;), just saying that I can see where these landowners get tired of the childish crap some guys play.

I hope ya' ll work it out and maybe this other guy will find another place to hunt.

I was thinking along the same lines as Matt. If you do use it as a " neck brace" then maybe we can talk about a Bowtech or Hoyt in the near future...:D

Good luck with the " intervention" . ;)

Isn' t it a joke what some people will do. I had a guy last year try to get my dad and me off a piece of peroperty by tell ing the landowner that we could sue him if we didn' t have insurance. The land owner, a city guy, actually asked us about it. First of all I wouldn' t sue anyone for my own stupidity. Second of all, we have insurance through two clubs so the answer was yes. We still have unlimited access. The landowner is great and very supportive of us. Just a pretty crappy thing to try to do to someone. I hope the guy chokes on something.

You may want to consider offering to sign a lease. Similar thing happened to me a few years back, and it was the other guy who offered the lease. I lost out and now can' t hunt the area I hunted for 30 years prior to that. I kick myself all the time for not offering to lease it first.
