Doemasters, to me the shot looked like a straight down spine shot. To me not one I would take, however the idea of watching videos of regular people doing real hunts is appealing to me. If you do the entire hunt from scouting stand locations to the tracking after the shot I think you will do very well. A lot of us would like to watch real life hunts for a change.

The doe shot was the one I questioned - much too steep of a vertical angle. I played it over and over again to see if my initial thought that it was too steep was wrong maybe because camera angle is different from the shooter angle but I still looked like a spine shot. I am not seriously trying to flame just making an observation. With DVD technology you could have seperate chapters about set up, topography, scouting and other aspects of each hunt.
Come on be real a spike? Only because the camera was going. Show off

The doe shot was made right under the tenderloin and came out through the lungs, I may have waited to long to communicate with my friend to shoot and that was going to be our last good shot at that deer, not sure if you could hear the spike behind me walking or not, thats what messed up our communication, i couldnt move with both deer being less than 10 yards from me.
On the spkie kill, that was our first bow kill to get on tape after trying for almost 7 years, thats why we were that excited, I guess the awesome part was a little much but thats what my friends nickname is at the hunting club, just having fun.
Happy Hunting to all and shoot straight, Lance

We just posted a clip from some footage we got opening weekend. It was a smaller doe I took underneath my camera man' s tree (about a 5 yard shot). Apparently there' s some question to whether or not this was a good shot to take. I think it depends on the shooter. I practice alot & have been bowhunting for years. I' ve practiced this shot & harder angled shots thousands of times. To me, a ' questionable shot' depends on the confidence & ability of the shooter. I hope you get to see the clip.

What the BFD? The tag link says first bow kill! Why not be excited? I do know hunters that have only taken a couple deer in 10 years with a bow, I have taken just over 70 now with a bow and still act like that with each one. If it was no big deal to take any deer with a bow then why do it?

IF you are having problems viewing, right click on the name of the file on the doemasters sight and select " Save Target As" save the file to your computer. Open Windows Media player and have the player open the file you downloaded. The player might have to add an additional component in order to view the file. I had the same problem. took about 25 secs. to correct. Just remember where you download the file to.
