Dang, haven' t we done this a few times already? I took a nice buck just last week and my ASAT isn' t even here yet. Maybe the buck knew I had placed the order and figured he would just give up early.

Sure didn' t take Ausie-guy long to sniff out this thread did it? He must have some kind of buzzer that goes off when someone types " ASAT" [&:]

Got them both, preditor grey in wool and asat in fleece and love them both!

RE: ASAT or Predator Camo?

I think I' m leaning towards ASAT.

It really looks like it does an awesome job at breaking up your outline, and won' t ' blob' out at farther distances like those other camo patterns.

I would like to see a b&w photo of Predator to give it a fair chance. I have seen all the others besides Predator. Does anyone have a photo?

ASAT......I started wearing ASAT 15 years plus ago and then switched to Predator because ASAT was hard to find...now they are back with new material and especially the Vanish 3D leafy wear, it' s the only camo you will ever need....except maybe more ASAT.

What would work best for mesquite tree country, our trees consist of mesquite, big mesquite, and really big mesquite, so what would work best? Just let me know what you think, thanks!

RE: ASAT or Predator Camo?

ya dont let the mt on my name fool you, im as texan as it gets, so about how much does the vanish pro 3d suit cost for everything, as far as everything i will need, im thinking about what i want for Christmas now my Christmas list already includes, binoculars, range rinder, tree stand, and i need to add some camo to that, I just dont know how well ive been for Santa this year :D.

RE: ASAT or Predator Camo?

I have Predator Deception pants and shirt and it seems the deer just ignore me. Last year I hunted in 3D seclusion and every deer that went by wondered what the huge dark blob was in the tree. Most did not spook, but I got real good at staying still under the pressure of a hard stare. This year deer have looked but just tail flicked and kept grazing or moving along. Predator works for me just limited options. I am going to try Skyline and see what suits they offer. Once a customer receives bad service they will on the average tell 6 other potential customers. Looks like more than that with ASAT orders.

ASAT is the only one I would choose.

I have the 3D Leafy and it' s great!

Anyone can e-mail me and I' ll send you a photo or two of the bucks I' ve taken with Predator. I' m wearing it in the photos so you can see the pattern. The stuff disappears in the trees early or late season.

Anyone can also send me some ASAT to field test and maybe I will have a nice buck photo with that also. I think I have a nice one on the line.

would like to see a b&w photo of Predator
Research has proven deer do not see only in black and white. but mainly yellow, blue, uv and shades of grey, black and white.

brown and green camo appears yellow, as do trees, leaves, brush, etc.

Ohh...

Well I don' t like upsetting my ASAT wearing friends here on the boards but if I had to choose, no question it would be Predator.:D

That said, if it was ASAT against anything else, I' d choose ASAT.

asat!!!

RE: ASAT or Predator Camo?

For me to say that ASAT is Necessarily " Better" than Predator wouldn' t make much sense since they both work on similar priciples of open areas and high contrast.
I was considering both this season and I personally went with ASAT. From my experiences thus far this season it will be the LAST camo pattern I ever wear. That' s no joke.
I know Predator works and works well but I couldn' t care less!
I feel like the " Invisible Man" in this ASAT 3D stuff........I had my very first " Look THROUGH" experience last night on a 5pt buck at 30 yards.
Not a leaf between us and I punted trying to use my rangefinder on him and another buck and I clanked my release of the rangefinder![:o]
I thought Ah crap. I knew he was looking before I even looked up. And yes he was........but I could almost see his eyes searching and I just knew he couldn' t see me even though I was right there. (I was actually skylined against the branches behind not against the tree trunk)
He wagged his tail , put his head down and kept feeding.
6' 3" in the open and he was looking for the sound and just couldn' t see me.
Awesome stuff.
