2 man ladder stands
 

Anyone ever used a 2 man ladder stand to bow hunt with a camera man? If so, where you able to still use a bow hanger and a camera arm?

I use two-man ladders all the time and will never buy a one-man stand again. I haven't hunted with a person filming, but regularly take my wife or 10 year old nephew along with me to watch. I took a friend with me to put up trailcams this year and he has never been bowhunting, so we both went up in the stand. Two guys both around 6 ft 180 lbs and there was plenty of room. In fact i'm taking him this year becuase he exclusively shotgun hunts with a group that only pushes, so he wants to see what it's like to have a deer walk by at 10 yards. Not sure how much room a camera guy nees, but I dont think room should be an issue.

Thanks for the info. Considering how wide a 2 man ladder stand is, are you able to hang your bow on a bow hanger? Or do you just hold on to your bow?

Bow hanger works fine for my stands. I could see how it may be an issue. I typically use a bow hanger that extends about a foot from the tree in all my stands anyway, rather than just a hook, so it hasnt been an issue for me. Something along the lines of this

I have never used a 2 man stand with an individual filming, but the presentation is what seems to be an issue. If you want to include the hunter in any of the filming, then someone sitting six inches from you is too close. This is why you see most hunts filmed with the camera operator 2' above and behind the shooter, this allow the camera to include both the hunter and target in the filming.

I believe it depends on what you want to capture on film, if it is just the shot then a go pro mounted on the gun or bow would suffice.

Ive placed ladder stand to a ladder stand & the camera person on the one against the tree. Two in double ladder rare you will get shooter aiming at Deer unless it would be out the side. I love em for self filming as I have the camera on a tripod Fastened to ladder & lots of room.
