I found a pair of Gore-Tex Supprescent pants today for $65. The matching Supprescent jacket that was on clearance was unfortunately too small. So I' m either going to spend $150 for a Supprescent jacket, or $80 for a Scent-Lok Dakota jacket. I' ve heard Gore-Tex Supprescent is an awesome system and since I have Supprescent bottoms, I would like to have a Supprescent top. Do you guys think the Gore-Tex system worth the extra money, or is the Scent-Lok jacket going to be good enough?

I purchased a set of MT050 gore tex supprescent pants and jacket this year from Cabela' s. This is after returning a set with Scent Lock. The scent lock was very heavy for uninsulated clothing. The Gore Tex Supprescent is very light weight. First night out it was pouring rain and I kept nice and dry. As for the Supprescent value I' ve had two deer within 10 to 15 yards of me. I shot a Spike, 154 lb the other night with the wind sworling even though in all honesty the wind was with me both times. My feeling when I bought it was better safe then sorry. If nothing else it makes me feel better. The tag on my cloths said to was and dry prior to use.

Thanks for the replies...I decided to spend the extra money right away and get the Gore-tex jacket. I' ve heard so much good about Gore-tex so I think it will definitely be worth the money.
