WB question

The hole in the center of my Whisker Bisquit is getting elongnated. How much wear should be allowed before you change it out!

RE: WB question

i would change it out when your arrow doesnt sit properly on it if your arrow sits at a differnt angle it wont shoot properly. How much wear are we talking about here?

RE: WB question

The wear is a slow process. I just looked in my log book and my current disc has about 1500 shots through it and shows no wear. They are really cheap so just replace it. It sure as hell last longer than the plastic tips on my GFK launcher type rest I had before.

Yeah, I would replace it if it has noticable wear. Once you replace the biscuit, you should not need to do much if any tuning, as long as you haven' t changed anything since you' ve noticed the substantial wear.

RE: WB question

Just wondering.

How much of a beating do your vanes take from your WB rest??

I have a new one.......my first ever and my vanes look fine after I would say 30-40 shots through.

I did put a drop of super glue on the front tip of the vanes just in case. So far so good.

I only plan to use it for hunting....then change it out for yard shooting and 3D.

RE: WB question

For some reason it blackens my vanes some which is not a problem. It' s the only rest that I have used so I can' t say if it causes abnormal wear. The super glue is a good idea although I haven' t noticed any lifting of the leading edge of the vane. I really like mine.
Good Luck
