Mosquito help...
With the warm weather we have in PA now it has brought the skeeters out in full force. The last two days were miserable! I have my double layered my clothing and added a netting overtop of my camo mask. I was completely free of the skeeters except for my hands - they were biting right thru my gloves! Last night I had a thought - I dug out a pair of latex gloves. They didn' t seem to have a smell to them so I wore them today underneath my camo gloves. No skeeter bites!!! :D They got a little warm in the late afternoon but that was better than getting bitten. Give it a try if you' re having problems with the skeeters. You gotta do something if you want to sit still on stand. You can' t be swatting at the bloodsuckers every two seconds!![:@]

RE: Mosquito help...
I don' t know about the latex gove idea... Seems that my hands would be soaking wet and uncomfortable. You may want to try this stuff:

RE: Mosquito help...
I' ve had a few problems with the skeeters, and also lady bugs.
2 days after the season started, they started hanging out on my EZ-hangar, and haven' t left. They end up crawling all over me, the tree and my eqipment ughhhhh,,,, better than skeeters though. My local wall-mart also carries the bug killer that PA Hunter mentioned above. I noticed it last week and then again noticed yesterday when I was in the archery equipment that there was only 1 can left. You' re not the only one with the skeeter poblem. Good luck,, I am sure the weather will change soon and so will the skeeters. |

ORIGINAL: Lady Bow Hunter I' ve had a few problems with the skeeters, and also lady bugs. As far as the mosquitos ... I use (and recommend) No Stinkin' Bugs by Scent Blocker. http://www.robinsonlabs.com/nostinkticks.html I' ve found it works well. Has a nice earth scent to it. I bought mine at Gander Mountain but I' ve seen it at many other places. I think Walmart sells it too. Best of luck to you all. |

RE: Mosquito help...
Thermacell' s are great when you are on stand, and the wind isnt blowin. Get down on the ground and try walkin around with one....
Bug tamer suit for me.... Those latex gloves get a little slimey with sweat after awhile...try some " Storm Cloth" gloves..I havent been bitten through them yet and they' re a bit more comfy than latex. |
RE: Mosquito help...
I' m dyin' to try my thermacell that arrived yesterday. I hope it is as odorless as everyone claims.
