Giraffe would make a cool European mount also!

I just boil mine and cut/scrape the meat away, then whiten with a peroxide/water boil. I agree that beetles are better but more expensive, you can order beetles and do it yourself. I used to make plaques for my mounts but now i just put a wire through the skull as shown in the picture and hang it from a screw on the wall. I like to put a coat of lacquer on the skulls to make them easier to dust.

Here is the only one I have. I had a Taxidermist use a beetle colony and mount it for me with the cartridge I killed it with on the plaque.

Thanks Rob i like, your table stand mount too. Like Rockport said boiling puts fat/grease in the skull, thats why i put lacquer on mine because it seals it, i think it helps hold it together a bit also.

As someone worked pretty trophies will thus try to explain to ManofTheFall how i do things.
After skinning the skin of the trophy, remobe the lower jaw, and carefylly with not very sharp knife robbery as many of the remaining meat.
Then using draw hook brain do it before cooking bekause i easier.
The boiling constantly checking whether meat has begun to fall from the bone. Being carefful not to get ahead because it becomes brittle.
If nasal bone or a tooth removed them throw and do not worry, correctable is just my personal write to you to explain.
After being boiled it cleaning cold running water with a brush with stiff but not metal hair.
Then for three days immersing him to jack in gasoline to degrease.
And finally immerse it almost to the jack for 24 h. in 15% hudrogen peroxide solution for whitening. Generally it is. And never paint.
