There is an easy fix for this problem, just take a peice of rope or string and tie one end to the stand and the other end to the wire on the pin. End of problem!!!

I had the pleasure to hunt with Matt/PA and his Summit stand.....good stand no doubt but it reinforced why I love the Ol' man climbers and why I sold the Summit.

No noise with the Ol' man either, unless you drop one on top the other.

One other thing while watching Matt pack up his stand, the Ol' man is easier and flater and easier to use.

my summit is real quite easy to setup i love my summit. i took a doe out of mine this morning 8:45.

Yet another vote for summit. I initially hunted with one of the cheaper tree stands i could find but after realizing that the non-welded platform made a little noise, I immediately looked for a new stand. Bought a Summit Cobra and then just had to break down and buy a second Cobra the next season. They are silent if you use them properly, easy to pack, and lightweight (17 lbs). also, comfortable (as far as climbing stands go).

A vote for Ol' Man... I' ve been using an ol' man vision for about 4 years now and love it. packs in easy, light, easy to set up in the dark, comfortable to sit in for a few hours... what is with the lone wolf stands? they seem a bit on the pricey side.
