LED nocks, worth it?
 

A three pack costs $25, seems a bit expensive for 3 nocks. Is it as easy as just pulling the stock nock out and pushing this one in? How long will they last before they die?

Cool but over priced IMO.

I would probably use them if they were reasonable.

I have never used them but my friend got his first doe last week and used them and he said he could see the light from 30 yards away. Said is was helpful tracking after sunset. I suppose in that scenario, it is worth the money!

Way too expensive for me, but I will admit they make it really easy to find your arrow. If you film your hunts at all, you can go back and review footage and see exactly where you hit, too. The other drawback, besides cost is that they rob your arrow of FOC.

Totally worth it. After a shot I spent 30 minutes looking for an arrow that was right at my feet a few years back. With the lighted nock you find your arrow faster, you watch flight, pentration, and you get a clear image of exactly where your arrow hit.

P.s. they sell 1 pack nockturnals for $9 if that stings your pocket book less.

You can also pick up a 3-pack on ebay for about $15. I've had a couple arrows in the quiver with them in the past, but after finding that deal I now have them on all 5. Just make sure you order for the right arrow diameter.

I have held off getting them because of the cost too. I use all white vanes and nocks which helps a bit with the contrast. They would be quite helpful - esp after dark, but just a bit pricey.

I was skeptical too until I try them. I tried several and settled on the Nockturnals because their weight does not alter arrow flight as much as the heavier makes.
With today's bows launching arrows at 300+ fps, the nocks allow you to track your arrow flight, especially in low light conditions and to validate your shot was good or not.
They also allow you to find your arrow or in the post above, even your animal if it wasn't a pass through.

Well worth it! My nephew shot at a buck at the end of legal time last year (17 yd shot) - we never found his arrow and we never found any blood or hair. We never could figure out what happened (deflection, target panic, ??). A lighted nock would have removed any doubt.

Pricey? You pay $30-$40 for broadheads right and think nothing of it? And you don't have to buy a 3 pack. You can buy them in single packs too.
