HAMBURG PENNSYLVANIA CABELAS PICS!!!
 

Hey guys,

On Sunday morning at 4:20 a.m. I left to go to the new grand opening of Cabelas in Hamburg Pennsylvania. It was a 4-1/2 hour drive from my house, plus, my best friend and I had to get cash out of mack machines, get gas, and get food on the way up, so, we left that early.

Well, we got there and it was amazing. The design was awsome, but, I was disappointed in a few things.

1. The isle' s were way to thin. There were so many people there that it was like going through a maze when you are looking for something.

2. The employees were IGNORANT. They were rude, and just didn' t seem to care about the customers. I know that they have had it rough with how many people are there, but, come on, you knew what you were getting in to, and you shouldn' t take it out on the customers.

Other than that, it was awsome. I took tons of pics, and I am just gonna post a few of them for you guys to see.

Here are 10 awsome pics that should set up the theme of this store very well.

O yeah, the traffic at this place was crazy. When we were leaving there were 13 state troopers directing traffic.

It was definetly a great experience, and I am sure that I will be going back again, but, I think that I am gonna wait till there is no hunting or fishing seasons going and the middle of the day in the middle of the week. Maybe then I will be able to walk around without bumping into 20,000 people. :D

The last 3 pictures didnt load for me, but the others looked awsome. That one picture where your looking down at the isle' s shows exactly how crowded it was and woah, was it ever crowded.

WOW!!!!

We have a Bass Pro Shop here in Ripley, WV. About a 1 hour drive, and it is amazing, but nothing like the Cabela' s shop' s. But not to worry, there is one opening in Wheeling WV!!! And it' s a Union Job which is all the better. I think next year or the year after is when it will open, and I will be there for the grand opening. Cabela' s have unbelievable stores. Awesome!

I can' t wait to go to Wheeling!!!

Thats awesome. I was lucky enough to visit the Cabelas in Michigan over the summer. Incredible. I can' t wait until they open their new store in West Virginia. Only about an hour or so for this PA boy. Thanks for the pics:)

I was able to make it to the Dundee, MI store this summer. Well worth the trip. I still think that one is closer to me than the one in my own state.

I wish you would have let me know as I could have met up with you there. I only live twenty minutes from the place...and, shhh (don' t tell the wife), I have been there five times so far...:D.

From what I have gathered from others and from my own personal experiences, Sundays are the absolute worst day to go to the store. It appears that everyone and their grandmother goes on Sundays. I popped in last Friday afternoon and noticed the big change for the Grand Opening week. The state troopers, the massive number of outside tents, etc... Yesterday was not nearly as bad as Friday but definitely busier than it was the first week that they were actually open. I am sure that in a week or two things will die down a bit...though I would still recommend going on a weeknight if at all possible.

Yesterday was the first day I had to deal with any of the employees and I have to say that my experience was just the opposite of yours. I was looking for two very specific pieces of clothing and neither was on the floor in my size. So, I asked the salesperson and he was kind enough to look it up on the computer and get the two pieces hand-delivered to the showroom from the warehouse within 5 minutes. I was impressed....but then again, it was a weekday afternoon...:)

Buck, That is MUCH nicer than the Bass Pro that is FIVE minutes from my house.[:o]

Yep I was there ,Your right the aisles are to skinny. And them pics are just a small amount of the 50 or so full mounted whitetails around 180 to 200 plus score. And I was disappointed with the restuarant. I thought they would be serving wild game. It was Italian special day????

I totally agree! The store is awesome. I' ve been to both, Bass Pro and Cabellas and Cabellas takes it hands down!
