Default Big 8

Got lucky and found an unpolluted spot on public ground for first cold front after the opener. Gross scored 160". This site got shot the hell out of yesterday during the youth firearm opener. Counted 12 shots on public, and only two on adjoining private. Rest in Peace.

Sorry for the poor quality of these photos. Buck was taken in a very remote location, field dressed at night, quartered, and wheeled out by deer cart over a mile. This is permitted in the state I shot my buck. My photo even includes the tag. I see a lot of people entering illegal photos in this contest. Most states require deer to be tagged and for that tag to remain affixed all the way to the processor. At the public land I hunted, I watched 4 lazy hunters break the rules and drive their trucks beyond the parking area to load their deer. Took me 8 hours, 7 PM to 3 AM, but I got him all out legally and by myself. Got tired of lazy hunters putting one fixed position stand on public and proclaiming all the land within 300 yards of it as their personal property. So now I only go deep with my climber. Hampered by healing pinched nerve disabling right arm, and heart surgery 10/21, but got it done. Price was cramps in my calves.

Default Best buck to date any weapon

Got in the stand yesterday morning around 9:30 am..not long after about 6 does came by followed by this buck grunting in their tails. soon as I saw him I knew he would give me a shot, and when he stepped into a clear lane at 30 yds I let a 125gr Sonic fly right into the sweet spot behind the should. He took a short slow run about 40 yds behind me and wobbled, coughed blood and that was it DRT!

The does watched my climb down and a nice 5 pt even came in to see what all the commotion was.

When I got to him, I could see that this wasnt the 1st time he had a arrow flung at him, as you can see by gash along his left gut.. sliced a good chunk outta his rt leg too. Didnt seem to slow him down much.

I didnt measure his entire rack but he beats my 2010 bucks 18"width by 1.25" so I guess Id call him my best.

By the sharp back molors im gonna age him at 2.5 yo2014-15 Success photos-026.jpg
