I was never a horn bowhunter but since 2016 starts my 60th year in the sport, I must say, I've been on a journey many will only dream of for a working man (retired now). All but a handful of my bowhunts have been DIY, Public land (14 states). Yes, I've done a handful of HF bowhunts too for Exotic Deer & Hogs & those too were great fun.
I just returned from what I think was my last Antelope hunt & never drew my bow (DIY, Public, camping). Mother nature dealt us a real tough weather system while I was there but still enjoyed the reconnecting with friends from distant places. I no longer shoot Does & I set a personal goal for my next Whitetail. I may change that since I revitalized my interest in the Longbow (the way I started in 1956) & will be toting it into the woods along with my compound. I managed to shoot 38 biggame animals with recurves back in the day.. Good luck to all this fall & may your dreams & goals be fulfilled as so many of mine have been.

I'll post mine once I get to at least 10 posts. Still a newbie on this site.

I honestly think hunting with your family has to be one of the best family experiences you can get
