Broad head tuning?
I have been shooting all summer with field points and my field points on my hunting arrows are accurate. But practicing with my mechanical broadheads with the same arrows are about 3-4" low. Can I tune them in by adjusting my pins or do you reccomend changing something else? I am shooting:
piledriver arrow 350 spine @ 10.32 g/ inch= 283.8g arrow 100 grain NAP killzone Diamond Outlaw @ 65 lbs 28" Draw length Thank You croc2116 |
Paper tune your bow. Something is out of whack.
According to your total grains, your arrow is 34.5 inches long. Is that correct?? You may need a different spine arrow for your setup. http://www.huntersfriend.com/carbon_..._chapter_3.htm |
Are you shooting with a practice killzone broadhead? if you are using field points and then switching to your killzone broadhead it may just fly a little different. IF the broadhead is consistent just in a different location than your field tips I would suspect that is what is going on. Hope this helps

Your bow is out of tune or your spine is incorrect. A perfectly tuned bow will shoot broad heads and field tips (practice tips) pretty much the same.

spine issues tend to show left/right BH movement.
If your BH is slightly low, raise your rest about 1/16th of an inch and try again. Repeat until you have them together. |
