What do you think he will score?
I know it is tricky in velvet. What is your guess?

I would say if he grows no more that he would be around the 170 mark but thats a gross score. He would have quite a few deductions for a net score but I'm personally not a big fan of net scores on deer. If he grew it then give him credit for it is my personal belief. Either way thats a shooter to me in whatever part of the country your in. Good luck and thanks for sharing the pics.

I took that picture of July 19th this year. Have seen him several times since. But they are fixing to split up. Got to try an locate him.
I'm thinking about 110 maybe 115?
He'll score in the 160's easy
Close to 180 in velvet
low to mid 160's
Is that an Arkansas deer?
I'd say 170s
Man, wish we had deer like that in Vermont. The most bucks Iv'e seen in 1 field at one time is 7 and only 2 of them looked any good. The rest were young.

160ish

High 150's, once velvet's gone.
That buck is easily in the 170s or better gross as a NT.
Guessing 160's but it's tough to tell at this stage

As for what does that deer score? I could care less, he's well past the "oh chit" point & the first reaction should be "click boom"! :s1: |

This is public land in NW Arkansas. The food supply here is endless an the season is only eight weeks long, bow only. They do get big or some of them do. Corn an soybeans.

Nice, do they regulate the amount of hunters they let in?
You can get a permit just by calling. I never seen them only sale so many permits. But guess they could. |

I just never would have guessed you would have that kind of quality hunting on public land in Arkansas.....Learn something every day I reckon. |
There will probably be over 600 permits sold. Any given day about 10-20 people are hunting. When they start chasing, there are a good number of people there. But, it is bow only hunting. I think that has a lot to do with it. Because the eight weeks it is open is right in the middle of muzzle loading an gun season. Most people not all people hunt with bow, muzzle loader an gun method.
