does with fawns

Should there be any does with new born fawns this time of the year. By the way I live in Georgia. I was hunting Sat. afternoon and a doe with 2 spotted fawns walked within 12 yards of my stand. The fawns could not have been over a couple of weeks old. I have never seen fawns this time of the year.

If the buck doe ratio is out of whack you can see alot of young fawns early in the season.I once saw a spotted fawn in December! At that time we had 10-15 does for every buck.A doe will come into heat until she is bred, like any other animal. Our rut is late January and even into February. We routinely see spotted fawns during bow season.I usually wait until November to shoot does for that reason.

I saw a spotted fawn last week. It was big though. If I hadnt looked through the binoculars at 30 yards I would have thought it was a yearling.
