Parker Bows

I am a bowhunting newbie...even though I have a few miles on my odometer.
I bought a used PSE a few years ago to get started. It is an older, slower bow. I promised myself that if my interest continued and I had a little success that I would purchase myself a new bow. I got my first deer with a bow this past week. So, I would like to purchase a new quality bow for next year. I am not very knowledgeable about such matters, so I would like to deal with a pro-shop. However there are few of them in my rural area. I have one nearby who sells and services Parker Bows. So, my question is: are they good bows? Does anyone have experience with them? They look like quality stuff. Any help appreciated.

A friend of mine bought a Parker a few months ago. I was definitely impressed with it. It shoots great, very smooth. But there are a lot of great bows out there around that same price range. I' d say take your time & shoot as many as you can & find one that feels best for you. My friend had his heart set on getting another bow based on what he' d read about them, but when he actually shot several different brands the Parker is what felt best for him.

Thanks for your thoughts. I bought the Parker Hunter Mag also. It is a lot of bow for the money. I couldn' t be happier...shoots great and is quiet. With a little help from me, I am sure that Parker will bring home a lot of venison. Perhaps some turkey and rabbit too!

I love my Parker, Hunter Mag.
When I researched bows for women hunters, Parker came up alot.
On the Hunter Mag Outfitter package deal.. mine came with everything but the release. When I looked at it at the pro shop they pulled it out of the box unopoened and assembled and I shot 2 shots, both bullseyes. They are pre assembled at factory and ready to go. I have since added a kisser button and limb savers.

When I went to the pro shop to " just look" and try a few out, I walked out the door with it, I was that impressed. My pro shop highly suggested Parker and said that Parker has one of the best warranty and service departments to work with. Lifetime guarantee on everything but the strings, and you can send it out your self or pro shop can send it out for you. Fast turnover, 2-3 days.
I shot a few bows besides the Parker when I got mine, and it felt so much better than the other bows. That is ticket,, to get what YOU feel comfortable with. Go to your pro shop and try out a few. Good luck!!

I also called the Parker office in VA,, a REAL LIVE person answered the phone on the first ring, didn' t have to push a 10 buttons and wait to corny music,, I received an answer immediately!! I like that kind of service.

Lady Bow Hunter; You know Parker did some service work on my bow that was related to the top limb and had nothing to do with the string, as a matter of fact I had a fairly new Stone Mountain Dakota Pre Streched string on my bow that I use when shooting in 3D competitions, when Parker returned the bow to me they even put a new Stone Mountain String on my bow for free and returned my Dakota String to me, I had the bow back in my hands 7 days after sending it in:D,NOW HOW IS THAT FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE[8D]:D

Makes me glad I opted for the Parker! I didn' t pay much attention at first, but Parkers are lighter in weight than many other' s bows. I considered Mathews, but they were a little heavier and a lot more expensive. I' m gad that others are finding a good value with Parker. The older I get, the more I like to hang on to my hard earned dollars.
