Dragging trail

Got a nice doe Wed. and had to drag her out of a field that had been recently worked and returned yesterday to find buck tracks in the drag trail. I loaded her into my pickup close to a pumping unit and sure enough he had stood where I had laid her within 20' of the unit. Was wondering if anybody else has seen this happen, and kicking myself for not dragging her in front of my stand.

Well I have never drug one across a freshly plowed field, but you can bet I will make a mental note on that one.

Just got in from my morning hunt and they are wearing the trail out. It was muddy when I dragged her out Wed. and this morning you can' t even see the drag marks for all of the tracks.

Noticed this over the many years. Here in Pa you are allowed more then one deer in the same day.I shot one already early in the morning. Field dressed it and let it lay in view of my stand and had other deer walk right up and smell the dead deer. Then they were laying next to her. Best decoy you can get.
