Do you follow ALL hunting regulations?

This thread isn' t intended to bring out the ethics police. It may be intended to see who' s honest.;)

I follow all of our hunting regulations except one. Our closing times are roughly a half hour before dark depending on what month it is. I' ve found it extremely diffecult to put my bow in a case and climb down when legally it' s closing time. In fact I' ve shot numerous deer in that last half hour of light. This is extremely common around here amongst bowhunters. Just curious who else is guilty of this. Or does your state close at dark?

I probably break the same regulation as you BOWFANATIC. Since I do not carry a sun rise/set chart with me I am probably out there after the legal shooting hours. I just hunt until I can' t see any more. Besides my watch may not be set the same as Mr. game wardens or Joe hunter down the ridge so who' s watch is right?

im pretty much a " by the rules" kinda of guy. illinois used to have a rule that your bow string had to be locked or disabled before shooting hours. i never bothered with that, i just never nocked an arrow til legal time.

well i guess i' m a criminal because i am go by my own legal time. if i believe it is too dark to make an ethical clean kill shot than i will not shoot. But if i am 100% confident i can place a shot dead on even if its 5 or 10 minutes before or after legal time then that arrow if flying.

In MN the law is one half hour before sun-rie and one half hour after sun-set. So im set on that ule dark-dark but there is one othe rule/law that i break sometimes withot knowing it.....i switch up my camo sort of a mix andmatch thing. But sometiiiiimes i forget my lisence in my other coat pocket. But thats not a big deal becasue then i can just walk back to my house through the bean feild and pick it up(my house is only about 50-600 yards away(if i am lucky enough to tag one)

Oh yes, Another law that i break is the one that states a strapon/ chain on stand connot be located any higher than 15 feet in the tree. I beleive that mine is located around 25 feet.

I have a copy of the entire wildlife code for PA, and all you PA guys will relate to this..........I HAVE NO IDEA!! if I' m following EVERY rule!? I mean there are about 4,859 different regulations just for bowhunting. I THINK I follow everything.......and I sure as heck try. :) What makes it worse for PA is that some of the rules are up to the " Interpretation" of the WCO you might be talking to.

I' ll bite. The two that I may not follow exactly is Starting/quitting time and also maybe the Flo. orange requirements that archery hunters must go through here in PA in the late season.
